The seminar aims to explore the role of migration in the context of the UNCSD-Rio+20 and the provisions of the “zero draft” of the outcome document of the conference. The training session will be an occasion to analyze the advantages and challenges that migration poses in the context of sustainable development and illustrate migration policies and programmes instrumental to mitigate the effects of social, economic, and environmental challenges. In detail, the seminar will focus on cross cutting issues of human mobility, rural to urban migration, economically motivated and induced migration, environmental induced migration as well as return and reintegration of qualified nationals.

16 – 20 April 2012 – Training ‘Identifying and investigating cases of forced labour and trafficking’ – ILO International Training Centre Turin, Italy
This course will train participants to better identify and investigate cases of forced labour and trafficking in persons for labour exploitation. It will address different stages of the investigative process, including detecting signs, inspecting workplaces, interviewing victims, and gathering other evidence. The course will focus on forced labour occurring in the private sector (including of textile, agriculture, and domestic workers), but will not specifically address sexual exploitation.
