Full CONGO members - who must have consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) - include international, regional, and national NGOs. CONGO also works closely with NGOs not holding consultative status which have an affiliation with a UN program or agency. Such NGOs may become Associate Members. While non-voting, these associate members enjoy all the other benefits of CONGO membership.
