Rules Of The Election:
NOMINATIONS
According to the By-Laws, in order to be nominated for the Executive Committee, an individual must be a Regular Member and
a representative from a Non-Governmental Organization (CONGO) in Consultative Status with ECOSOC.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Executive Committee will consist of five Officers, five Members-at-Large, and an Immediate Past President. The Officers will
be the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, and Treasurer. Three Members-at-Large
will be elected and two will be appointed by the Executive Committee after the election. No more than two representatives from
any single organization may serve at the same time.
MEMBERSHIP AND VOTING
In order to be eligible to vote in the Election, an individual must be a Regular or Associate Member of the Committee and have
paid dues prior to or on the date of the election. Membership dues have been set at $30.00 for each individual and are valid until
September 30, 2001. VOTING FOR THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MUST BE DONE IN PERSON AT THE TIME OF THE
MEETING.
Regular Membership in the Committee is open to members of Non-Governmental Organizations in consultative status with
ECOSOC. Regular Members will have full rights of participation and are eligible to hold office.
Associate Membership in the Committee is open to members of Non-Governmental Organizations associated with the UN
Department of Public Information, and other interested organizations and individuals. Associate Members will have full rights of
participation except to hold elective office.
