What is the NGO Committee on Ageing?
The NGO Committee
on Ageing is the committee that follows issues affecting older persons for
the Conference of NGOs in Consultative Relationship with the UN. Its membership
comprises NGOs who wish to work together to create a society for all ages
and improve the quality of life for older persons worldwide.

Mission of the Committee:
The NGO Committee on Ageing works to raise world awareness of the opportunities and challenges of global ageing. The Committee advocates within the United Nations community to further integrate ageing in UN policies and programs and encourages member states to include ageing needs in social and economic policy considerations. The goal of the Committee is to further the United Nations mission of building a society for all ages.
