The Department of Public Information is the communications and public relations division of the United Nations. The DPI is responsible for publishing and disseminating UN documents and decisions, maintaining the UNÒs Website, and handling media events such as press releases and conferences. The NGO Section of DPI focuses on providing information to NGOs on how they can become involved in the UN process.
