PREPARATORY MEETING

(PREPCOM 3 OF THE TUNIS PHASE OF WSIS)

This orientation session is designed to give all participants the necessary background information on the WSIS Phase two processes thus far to ensure effective participation at PrepCom3. It is open to everyone: government delegations, private sector, civil society and international organizations.

b) Origins in WSIS context.

c) How the Internet works, introduction to net architecture.

d) ICANN, what it does, the DNS.

e) Broader issues (spam, interconnection, capacity building, etc.)
