The Working Group on Indigenous Populations will be convened pre-sessionally from 31 July to 4 August and the Social Forum will be organised on 3 and 4 August. Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (7-25 August 2006)The Human Rights Council decided during its first session that the mandate of the Sub-Commission would be extended for the priod of one year and should hold its final session, including its subsidiary bodies, to transmit its on-going work to the Council and to prepare a paper on the Sub-Commission's record and its vision and recommendations for future expert advice to the Council. The Sub-Commission decided at the beginning of this session to meet for three weeks, including in-session working groups, as allowed by the Human Rights Council. TIMETABLE.
