This year, the high-level segment of the Economic and Social Council, to be held from 30 June to 2 July in Geneva (Switzerland) will consider the theme "Promoting an integrated approach to rural development in developing countries for poverty eradication and sustainable development". The Council plans to adopt a Ministerial Declaration on this issue and will provide policy guidance and recommendations for action.
