- CoNGO CSDF 2010 - Civil Society Development Forum 2010 - Geneva Component

30 September - 1 October 2010 -- Online registration open - Call for Submissions of Action PointsCoNGO is pleased to announce that the Geneva Component of its Civil Society Development Forum (CSDF) - “Women’s Human Rights and Development: Inclusion, Participation, and Equality” – will take place on 30 September and 1 October 2010 at the International Labour Office in Geneva.
The Geneva Component of CSDF 2010 is to review the Outcome Document of CSDF 2010–New York Component, in conjunction with the conclusions and recommendations of ECOSOC’s Annual Ministerial Review as reflected in the Ministerial Declaration, which focused on "Implementing the internationally agreed goals and commitments in regard to gender equality and the empowerment of women".
The expected product of the Geneva component of CSDF 2010 is a set of concise action points addressed to governments, the United Nations System and civil society. These action points will be the result of further in-depth debates focusing on the five sub-themes of the New York Component.

Call for Submissions of Action Points

In preparation for CSDF 2010-Geneva Component, CoNGO has launched an online form to facilitate the submission of action points to be considered at that event.

The form is available here.

The format of that online submission form was designed to capture the diversity of opinions of civil society organisations and other entities on subjects to be discussed during the Geneva Component. It is intended to provide an opportunity for both CoNGO members and other civil society organisations based in all regions to participate in shaping the debates of CSDF 2010.
