CS Forum ECOSOC HLS Employment and Decent Work 2006

We thank you for your valuable contributions and input. We have done our best to incorporate all suggestions received and to accommodate all wishes expressed so far. The Program of the Forum is still work in progress to allow participants to define their workshops proposals and strategy.

The Forum is organized as follows:

On Thursday morning there will be statements by high-level speakers, keynote speech by ILO DG Juan Somavia and an introduction by the Steering committee;

On Thursday afternoon the clusters will split into worshops. Each workshop will last for 2,5 hours and each speaker is expected to make a 10 - 15 minutes presentation on the basis of the outline you have sent us. Panelists are kindly requested to prepare some recommendations to be discussed interactively with the audience and to formulate workshop's recommendations;

On Friday morning the workshops will meet in clusters and the workshops' recommendations will be synthetized into clusters' recommendations;

Finally, on Friday afternoon, the recommendations will be adopted by the Forum's Plenary.

The Forum's recommendations will be discussed in an interactive way with the dignitaries of the ECOSOC High-level Segment on Wednesday 5th July, to be held at the Palais des Nations.

All speakers are kindly requested to provide us with the written text of their presentation, which we will used for drafting the final report, as well as for promotional actions within the Forum (meetings with the media, flyers, interpreters, etc) .

Those of you who come from outside Geneva will receive additional information on logistical matters. We thank you again for your meaningful contribution and look forward to meeting you in Geneva.
