The work of the Education Committee for the 2003-2004 year has been quite full and expansive We have 76 NGO members, all of whom are ECOSOC NGOs, and we continue to welcome new members We are served by an Executive Committee and function in Committee structure through Task Forces of: 1) Education for Peace and Sustainable Development; 2) Literacy; 3) HIV/AIDS We meet monthly (September-June) on the 3rd Thursday from 3-5pm Our meetings follow the format of a speaker/briefing followed by a working session for the task forces Each meeting also provides for the regular business agenda items particular to NGO committees
