The second part of the HRC 6th session will continue the process of review and ratiomalization of the system of Special Procedure and will provide a follow up to its previous decisions. A number of Special Procedures mandate holders will also present their report to the Council and decision will be taken on pending draft resolutions. - Gross human rights violations in Lebanon
At the request addressed by the Permanent representative of Tunisia supported by one third of the members of the Human Rights Council, a special session of the Human Rights Council was held on Friday 11 August from 10 am onwards in room XX (Palais des Nations). Invitation to the second Roundtable on NGO participation in the Human Rights Council in Geneva (Rue de Varembé): 31 May 2006, 9:00-12:00. At the request addressed by the Permanent Representatives of 21 Member States, the Human Rights Council will hold its 6th Special Session on the Human rights violations emanating from Israeli military incursions in the Occupied Palestinian Territories including the recent ones in occupied Gaza and West Bank town of Nablus.
